The walls absorb her strength
energy is slowly drained
As the very breath becomes shallow
And she succumbs to the numbness surrounding her..
good is meant to happen here
Peaceful melodies wafting through the air
Beautiful decor
Cozy couches chairs and fancy water bottles await you
Thought time and care putting this room together to help one relax through the moments
Worried eyes see through it
Battle of the mind is raging                                                      Quieting her fears
Resting in the confidence her mind knows
Inner strength continuing to grow her..

Strangely sweet how you know what you know without really knowing..
Even stranger
How you invade my thoughts
Control my emotions
Live in my heart
Could I lose myself to just one kiss?..
Yet we don’t exist
What are we
Who are you
What am I
Vulnerable&lost is how I feel
I wish you would tell me..

Only what he lets them see
Is what they believe to be truth..
Or is it only that they choose to see what feels safe?..
Nothing is as it should be
How should it be exactly?..
He can’t let them down
Questions loom
Answers lost
Pressures build
His smile is tight
His eyes are dull
The shine lost in the turmoil of pretend
Yet He speaks the right words
His actions mirroring those of all things good
He can’t let truths be known he feels alone
He lets no one in as the day fades..
Charade continues
Yet Truth is blaring
No denying it..
It’s another day
Mask in place
His smile saying he’s fine
His eyes guarded
Much ground to cover
Many moments to live..
The sun is shining
As this hero steps into his shoes
And he wears them well..

All is good
So it seems..
Laughter chats and peaceful moments turning
Changing
As we get closer to the place we dread
It’s a lonely path
Heart racing as we step through the doors
Fighting fears as they start to suffocate
Muscles tense
Breath
Nightmares buried roar to life..
Quiet tears slipping out
Looking for warmth in
Cold Sterile spaces
Plastic smiles
Drowning out the sad words floating through the room
Shutting out lost faces of the Strangers all looking for hope..
Seconds are an eternity
waiting for good news only please..
Always waiting..
Always hoping..

It was different
Eyes connected
jolted – as if hit by lightning
Felt by both through&through
something stirred deep within their soul
like they had known many moments together
Yet how could it be
These two strangers..
Desperate to connect but lost for words..
They kept walking
Further and further from one other’s lives..
Never to forget this moment
knowing something had changed within them..

never to be..
