a mind is a powerful thing
Let the blood flow
hear it beat
Feel the heat of life as it stirs within me
Stepping out into the light of day
All at once everything changes
How much does nothing weigh..
Almost enough to crush you
I can live without knowing
Hope without seeing
Feel without touching
I won’t hide anymore
I will not hesitate

I’ve learned the value of it all

She knows what’s at stake..
fear will not own her
she readies herself..
Bundling up for the storm that life has set before her
shuddering at the very thought of giving in..
Losing hope – the wonder of life
For without it she will cease to exist..
That will not happen
She will grow in the downpour
Standing strong
remaining curious
That thought makes her smile
It is a beautiful word
Curious
always wondering
always growing
She will remain loud
For her bones will waste away if she stays silent
So let it rain
She is rooted in
This storm will not shake her

Messy Love

She is an explosion of emotions
Gigantic messy all
the over the place emotions..
that kind of explosion that one should never have to clean up after
debris only she can understand
It scares him not
He’s determined
Relentless in his quest for her
He will help her find her way through it
Open arms waiting for the broken heart and messes that are the sum of her
He loves everything about her
Even the unexplainable
He is willing detonate with her
as long as he lands in her world

Without any answers..
realizing there aren’t solutions for every situation
So caught up in him in ways I can’t explain
I look in the mirror trying to find me or is it him I see
Quite certain his face overshadows mine just like his heart eclipsed my own making my heart his home
I don’t know what I see looking back at me
A reflection I’m not so sure of anymore
so captivated by him
didn’t know any of this could be
He brushes my hair..
He holds my hand
I’m afraid..
I don’t share our moments
They are mine to cherish
So precious so sweet
Such love
So fragile..
I feel the delicate edges surrounding us
Knowing we can crumble at any time
