solid strong our house won’t fall… bones are good changing with time like petrified wood… banged around chips hit the ground… melodic pain it’s worth the gain… we scatter but won’t shatter into pieces we don’t know… we built us well… time will tell

    Tugging, pulling 

    the music is cued..
    Heart strings dangling  
    waiting on you..
    wound up tight 
    Fill me with dread 
    Or sheer delight..
    It’s a choice 
    your choice
    which do you choose…
    elaborate 
    full spectrum 
    You bring on the charm
    Symphony in my head
    sound the alarm..
    it’s music 
    our music 
    we don’t skip a beat
    Let’s waste moments together 
    while we bruise in the heat..
    blood vessels may rupture but what do we care 
    a little discoloring 
    we will not scare..
    We’re classic 
    complex 
    symphonic at best..
    our love is relentless 
    when put to the test..

    my heart is bleeding 
    feels incomplete..
    was it enough
    did I reach you 
    teach you 
    as I become a mime with time..
    does your heart know what mine has sown 
    from the moment you began..
    words collapse on my tongue as I become undone 
    in awe of the human you have become..
    independent

    confident
    you wear it well..
    breaking free 
    while I hold so
    tight
    reigning you in with my might..
    my heart overflows with stories untold..
    beaming with pride 
    I’ll let your hopes dance
    not fearing the past that cannot last..
