there’s beauty in explosions as the remnants spiral about lighting up glimpses of us in the fallout.. my heart hits the ground and the energy that bound us is out of this realm.. Unique - all its’ own a life force unknown.. it won’t be contained once let out nothing remains.. a love is spiritually awakened nuclear in its’ quest causing such unrest.. radioactive ashes cascading about setting my heart ablaze.. the intensity inflecting changes that will follow me from hours to years.. this outburst sends shock waves pulsating against my skin with a magnitude that sears and shapes the core of my soul..
Love is like that and a lot more, and when you’ve found your soulmate, you want nothing more than to explode in pieces for them. Love does make one radioactive, I suppose. Beautifully penned again, friend. More power to you. 🙂
A great writer wrote a book written in 1957 by Nevil Shute. Called “On the beach”. If you read the last 12 pages of this amazing books. (Also a movie.) He described the last days after the weapons slowly killed everyone. The last 12 pages. The officer gave his baby the pill, he gave his wife the pill and he poured a drink and sat alone. He took the pill. The pill was given to the last people. Better a quick death, not a slow one.
“This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.”
Thank you for sharing the powerful and worthwhile poem dear lamarr.
Nevil Shute had two of my favorite books. “A town like Alice” and “At the beach”. Both are wonderful movies. Two movie versions of “A town like Alice.” New one is the best. Julie Christie is the actress in the movie. You are welcome my dear friend.
