Unafraid where we’d land.. knowing we were hand in hand

embracing the unknown 

Fearless in our quest for life..

it now blankets our insides, suffocating our outsides

the darkness of fear eclipsing the light that shined so bright 

the silence so eerie, it is all we hear..

Burning up the apparitions that have become us, burying the ghosts we hide in

watching till fear is no more

A connection, a bond

The smallest of ties..

A story behind every story 

A reason, a why 

for the smile 

for the pain 

An overlapping of the unknown 

A string that draws us in 

making all of us a part of the other 

Our ups, our downs 

our triumphs, our losses..

so simple, so complex

so wonderful, so not 

with everything in between..

Let the strings that connect our thoughts & our hearts

create a link so strong that our differences will fade 

And love will be the reason and the why 

of a you and an I..

Puzzle Pieces

Somewhere in my brokenness I’m whole
The brand new me wears a new coat of paint
Splashes of color filling the empty spaces
happy to never being the same
New shades of peace cover me and the rain will not wash it away
uncertainty is nothing to fear..
Nothing to explain as I step out onto this new plane waiting for the lines to join..
The many puzzle pieces that have become me
I’m intrigued
stepping strong i move on
courageous in the unknown
I can do this on my own
I see the shadow of your smile
Mesmerized..it lights my way and I like where it leads..

Silent War..

You, her, me,
them, they, us..
scrutinizing each other until the words decimate the soul..
lies become truth
Wrongs become right..
The silent war is on
It’s lethal
Fatalities high
Jealousy causing a disease within us..
rotting to the core until we are no more
Critiquing never ends
So much hurt
desensitization real..
Intense pretty blue eyes
shading the hate
Brown eyes dull with pain
green eyes no longer sparkle
ridicule has had its’ way far too long
shredding her along the way, tearing you down
Until we are a wisp of a shadow of who they once were..
though the smile is present, her laugh out loud,
she has decayed inside
The smell unbearable
The pain crushing
until she can fight no more..
No one wins
as we all disappear within the mirror of fear we’ve learned to hate..

Loving freely, honestly, completely
You’ve awoken a gentle rage within
It moves me
Wonder if you’ll ever understand

There is no bondage
No chains, no rules
Hope can be a weapon

all your emotions whirling about
I taste the sweetness of your love in the air
surrounding me with every breath I take
My Heart pounding to the intake of you
until I surrender
Unrelenting..
A blessing or a curse to care so..
Your gaze – seeing through to my soul
It’s beautiful
A love that fills me to my core
making me complete
I’ll bear your wind and live in the whirlwind that follows..

The haze is lifting
The picture more clear
Show yourself
Where do you hide..
She hears the silent tears
She feels them too
Trying to follow the ache of sadness.. it’s no where to be found
The image appears
every where she looks..
big brown eyes
full of despair & weariness
looking back
The heaviness sinks in when she finally stops avoiding the shadow
It’s her
She’s been running all her days
the road has been long but
the end is near – the dark is lightening
and she takes deep breaths
realizing memories don’t define her
That first step
so tentative, so shaky
as new life is coming into view..
Who is she
she’s not sure
But She smiles at what She sees
The mirror has shattered
Glass splintered everywhere..
and she sees how wonderful the many sides of her can be..

one that has spun out of control
Inner demons ruling your mind while you struggle to break free..
let us take the fear, the pain and the demons away
we won’t let them stay..
find the reasons
Hold on to them tight
this is your fight
Forgive yourself
it was not, is not yours to carry
you’re living in bondage..
a sad empty broken place of untruths in your mind and heart..
Depleting you of a satisfied soul.. therein lies that beautiful peace you’re seeking..
I feel the battles of your heart
Let’s fight harder
We won’t turn away
We won’t give up on you today
You are perfectly wonderfully made..
Angels are stronger than demons
you will see light in the dark
open up your heart..
